The mysterious death of hundreds of elephants
In early May, a routine plane flight by group o conservationists confronted a trail of death.
In Botswana, one of the largest nature reserves in Africa, the experts sighted from the heights, more than a hundred dead elephants, most of them near wells or lagoons. A month after that first flight, investigations identified up to 350 bodies.
The reason for these deaths is unknown. Haunting was discarded as a cause of death for these animals since all of them keep their tusks intact, but there are possible causes, such as dehydration or the presence of a virus in the water. The Botswana Government announced that in two weeks they'll have the results of the blood tests of the dead animals.

What a strange new!! Maybe the lagoons were infected by some people or a virus. I wish cientifics could find the specific cause of death of these poor elephants. What is your thought about this? What do you think it is the cause of the deaths?
