Jaime Mañalich: The public figure of the moment.

Hi class, today I´m going to talk about the figure of Jaime Mañalich, the man of the moment. Well, we are all aware of the situation we find ourselves in today, a global emergency closely related to health. This problem arose in China, expanding over time throughout the world. In most of the different countries, such are the cases of the same China, also Spain or Italy, the government has shown itself defenseless against the pandemic we are experiencing today. Some facts that verify this are the high mortality rate, including all types of ages, and an exponencial growth in the number of infections, with a certain peak in a certain period of time. Here in Chile, our Health Minister is called Jaime Mañalich Muxi, a very workaholic guy who has been blunt and authoritarian in front of the whole country, including Chilean journalism and also sometimes with the typical guys who always tend to appear in this type of situations to get personal benefit. Since the beggining of March, the minister has been engaging in controversial situations precisely because of these attitudes that bother a certain part of the population. However, the facts are very clear. Chile has one of the lowest death rates of the planet, surpassing many European countries that probably you could assume are much more developed and much better prepared for situations like these, and up to now, the statistics and numbers, have been kept in a quite similar proportion. Now I ask you, taking into account everything mentioned above. Is Jaime Mañalich, right now, the most suitable person to be in charge of this pandemic?
