Olympic Games postponed
Hi class, today i will be talking about the olympic games being postponed because of the corona virus. The games were going to take place in Tokyo on july the 24th but because of the virus outbreak, the japanese authorities decided that it was better for everyone to change the games to 2021. Atheltes are very sad because they have worked very hard for a long time to be preapred to compete . But they have been very empathetic with the people who have been afected by the virus, and have had consciousness with the pandemic that has afected almost every country in the world. They are not angry because although they worked hard for it, they know its better for everyone if they do it that way. Do you think that it was a good idea to posponed the games?
In my opinion, I believe that the decision taken by the organizers to pospone the olympic games, was really wise and was the necessary thing to do considering the circunstances happening now. We are living a world wide disaster and nobody was prepared for this to happen.
ResponderBorrarI think that they don’t really had a choice, do they? After all everyone is staying at home, family are waiting patiently to be reunited, hole countries are paused because of this pandemic so if they hadn’t canceled them, they would be like throwing away everyone’s efforts to stop this, it would have been and action of selfishness, so yes, I think that is was the most reasonable decision to make.
